From Insurance Adjuster to Operational Innovator.
Seven years inside the insurance carriers. Two decades rebuilding the firms that fight them.
“Many imagine leadership to be a crown, but it’s more like a heavy cloak of responsibility.”
Stacie Monahan has spent more than 25 years inside the machinery of personal injury law — and she’s seen it from both sides of the table.
For seven years she worked as an insurance adjuster for major carriers, managing bodily injury claims through pre-litigation and litigation. She knows how carriers evaluate, value, and move a case — because she was the other side. Almost no operational consultant in the legal industry can say that.
Then she crossed over. In the two decades since, she spent eighteen years at the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin, one of the largest personal injury firms in the Southeast, rising to Vice President of Operations — the first woman to hold a vice presidency in the firm’s history — and has consulted for high-performing plaintiffs’ firms across every major section of a personal injury practice. From intake to settlement, she diagnoses where cases stall, where value leaks out of a file, and where a firm’s own systems quietly work against its clients — then she builds the fix and stays until it holds.
She has built asynchronous teams across the United States and internationally, extending firms’ operational capacity beyond the traditional in-house model. And she is known for a rare blend of leadership and emotional intelligence — the ability to communicate credibly at every level of a firm, with a track record of developing, mentoring, and empowering emerging leaders. That philosophy is on the page, too: she is the co-author of Invested Leadership (2025, with Eric Sanchez).
Outside the firm, she volunteers with Duke Children’s Hospital, the American Cancer Society, and the American Red Cross.

A trusted voice on where automation belongs in a law firm — and where it doesn’t. Intake is too high-stakes for unproven AI, but the technology moves fast enough that firms should keep revisiting what they’ve dismissed.
Operational excellence across intake, case management, workflow, and client outcomes.
