How We Built This Site

Built with AIBy Maestro.

We tell firms to nail their operations first, pilot small, and own what they build. This site is us doing exactly that — so you can judge the advice by the work.

Operations First, Then the Tool

The same order we give clients. The structure, the argument, and what each page had to do were settled before a line of it was generated. AI without operational context lacks direction — a site is no different from an intake process in that respect.

One Build, Not a Pile of Pages

Every page here is compiled by a single build step that owns the navigation, the footer, the metadata, and the structured data. Change the rule once and 100+ pages follow. That is the same discipline that stops a firm’s SOPs from drifting department by department. The stack is deliberately boring. A single Python build script compiles every page from source, injects the navigation, the metadata and the structured data, and writes a folder we deploy to Netlify. No CMS, no framework, no page-builder subscription, nothing to renew. The AI is Claude, working in the repository the way an engineer would — reading the files, running the build, and checking the result in a browser.

Where AI Earned Its Place

AI built every page. It also caught things review had missed: seventy-nine articles were shipping a tag that quietly told Google to ignore them; the host was corrupting our stylesheets on pages that looked perfect locally.

AI can check whether a page contradicts itself, whether a link resolves, whether a number appears three different ways in three places. It cannot know whether the thing being said is true. That is the part a human still owns.

We Own the Result

No page-builder, no template subscription, no vendor holding the keys. The output is plain, portable files. We say the same to firms weighing whether to build: own the thing you depend on, or understand exactly who does.
