About Maestro

What is Maestro Strategic Partners?

Maestro is an operations and technology partner built exclusively for plaintiff and personal-injury law firms. We’re led by the operators, inventors, and authors who built one of the country’s most sophisticated plaintiffs’ firms — and we engineer that same advantage into yours. Our belief is simple: you are not a law firm, you are a business selling legal services, and great businesses are built on people, process, and technology.

Who does Maestro work with?

Plaintiff and personal-injury firm owners and leaders — from boutique litigation practices to high-volume, advertising-driven firms. If you’re serious about running your firm like a business, we can help.

What makes Maestro different from other consultants?

Three things — and we’ve done them, not just advised on them.

Operational Depth. We’ve run the machine. Our partners spent 20+ years as executives inside one of the largest plaintiffs’ firms in the Southeast, so we know every department, bottleneck, and lever from intake through settlement disbursement.

Patented Innovation. We’re inventors, not just advisors. Our team conceived and built a legal intake and case management platform that earned 30 U.S. patents — spanning marketing analytics, cybersecurity, database management, and email routing — and we’ve operated at the center of complex, high-stakes matters like the record-setting $1.25 billion Black Farmers litigation. When we bring you a system or strategy, it’s one we’ve already built, run, and proven in the field.

Invested Leadership. We don’t just install systems — we coach the people who run them, using our documented, published methodology rather than a generic playbook.

In short: many consultants are theoretical — they sell frameworks. We’ve each actually run aspects of law firms, from intake through case management and resolution. We’re players who became coaches, not theoreticians.

Who are the people behind Maestro?

Maestro is led by Managing Partner Eric Sanchez (a U.S. Marine, named inventor on 30 patents, co-author of Invested Leadership, and a White House invitee for his role in the history-making $1.25 billion Black Farmers litigation), Partner Stacie Monahan (former V.P. of Operations at one of the Southeast’s largest PI firms and co-author of Invested Leadership), and Chief Operating Officer Tara Williams, Esq. (30+ years in personal-injury and intellectual-property law, and former CEO of a legal-technology company).

Our Services

What services does Maestro offer?

Five areas of engagement: AI App Development, Coaching, Consulting, Fractional COO, and MSO Prep. Most firms start with a conversation, and we shape the engagement around the constraint that matters most.

What is a Fractional COO engagement?

The operational leadership your firm needs without the full-time seat. We embed as hands-on operators — aligning the day-to-day with the big picture and running the fixes ourselves, not advising from the sideline.

What does the Consulting engagement include?

AI advice and consulting, firm performance diagnostics, and change and crisis management — proven, structural, and sustained. We diagnose the constraint, then help execute the fix.

What is Maestro’s Coaching?

Leadership and operational coaching grounded in operational reality, offered at three levels — Executive, Operator, and Key Staff — and most powerful when all three are coached together. Coaching is led by Stacie Monahan.

Does Maestro build custom AI tools?

Yes. AI App Development builds software by operators, for operators. We also offer a suite of Maestro Apps, including automated firm Reports and Maestro Intel; the EBITDA Calculator on our MSO Prep page is free to every firm, while the rest are reserved for clients and partners.

Adopting AI

How does Maestro help firms adopt AI?

We start with people and process, not the tool. Most firms reach for AI before their core operations are even defined — so we nail those down first, find the real pain points, then pilot in a small, low-risk, non-client-facing area with a willing champion. Once it works there, we scale it. AI without operational context lacks direction, and that context comes from the people who actually run the work.

Is it safe to use AI in a law firm?

It can be, done deliberately. We begin with non-client-facing work, insist on clear representations from any vendor — that your data won’t leave your environment or be used to train outside models — and keep attorney-client privilege front of mind at every step. The point is to move quickly without doing the wrong thing.

Will AI replace my staff?

We see AI as additive, not a replacement. A good paralegal becomes a great one with the right tools — faster, sharper, and more valuable to the firm. The roles most exposed are the narrow, commoditized ones, and the answer there is to move people into higher-value work — the human side of adoption that we help lead.

Should we build our own AI tools?

Sometimes — but rarely as cheaply or easily as it looks. An enterprise-grade tool means owning a product roadmap, DevOps, and constant maintenance, and those costs add up fast. For most firms the right move is the best tool for the job from a trusted vendor; for some larger firms, a mix of third-party tools and internal models makes sense. Having built, patented, and exited legal software ourselves, we help you make that call — and we’ll sit in on vendor evaluations to pressure-test the fit.

Have you done this yourselves?

Yes — you’re looking at it. This site was designed and built with AI, operations-first, the same way we’d tell you to do it. How we built it lays out the specifics, including where AI earned its place and where it didn’t.

The MSO Age

What is an MSO?

A management services organization splits the business of law from the practice of law. A separately owned management company runs your firm’s non-legal operations — finance, HR, marketing, technology — while the legal practice and professional judgment stay entirely with the lawyer-owned firm. Because the MSO owns operations rather than the practice, outside capital can hold equity without violating Rule 5.4 — the same model long proven in healthcare and dentistry.

Is an MSO just an exit strategy?

No. An MSO isn’t just an exit — it’s an engine. It’s a structure to grow, acquire, raise capital, or one day step back. The firms that prepare years early get to choose their path.

What is MSO Prep?

We help you define the objective, defend your EBITDA, install cash discipline, and build real optionality — so that whatever the MSO age brings, you can choose your path from a position of strength.

How do I know what my firm is worth?

EBITDA is the single number that sets your enterprise value — and for plaintiff firms it’s the most misread. Try the free EBITDA calculator on our MSO Prep page, then talk to us about building the defensible figure.

Definitions

What is legal intake software?

Legal intake software manages the window between a lead’s first contact and a signed retainer: it captures leads from every channel, qualifies and scores them, automates follow-up, and attributes each signed case back to the marketing that produced it. For plaintiff firms, speed to lead and follow-up persistence are the metrics these platforms exist to move. Our Legal Tech Overview profiles the major intake platforms neutrally, without rankings.

What is case management software for law firms?

Case management software is a law firm’s system of record: matters, documents, deadlines, tasks, and — in plaintiff-specific systems — medical treatment tracking, lien management, and settlement accounting. The core buying decision is between PI-native platforms and general-practice platforms that reach PI workflows through customization. The case management section of our directory profiles both kinds.

What is legal AI software?

Legal AI software applies large language models to the document-heavy work of a case — demand packages, medical chronologies, discovery responses, research memos, and deposition analysis. Evaluation turns on accuracy verification, integration with the firm’s case management system, and pricing model. We profile the legal AI platforms plaintiff firms are actually evaluating.

What is call tracking for law firms?

Call tracking software answers the question every advertising firm eventually asks: which ad, keyword, or campaign made the phone ring. Trackable numbers and dynamic number insertion tie each inbound call, text, and form fill to its marketing source, so a firm can report cost per signed case rather than cost per click. See the call tracking platforms we profile.

What is an AI voice agent for law firms?

An AI voice agent answers a firm’s phones autonomously — qualifying callers, capturing intake details, booking consultations, and escalating to humans when judgment is needed. For plaintiff firms the draw is the after-hours and overflow window where signed cases are otherwise lost to voicemail. The category spans legal-specific agents and hybrid AI-plus-human reception services, both covered in our directory.

What is a legal intake call center?

A legal intake call center is an outsourced operation — human agents, increasingly AI-assisted — that answers a firm’s inbound calls, qualifies callers against the firm’s criteria, completes retainer signup by e-signature, and delivers signed cases into the firm’s systems. High-volume advertisers and mass tort dockets use them to answer every call around the clock. The intake call centers we profile are covered in the directory.

What does a fractional COO do at a law firm?

A fractional COO gives a law firm senior operational leadership without the full-time executive seat: they own the firm’s operations agenda — intake, staffing, workflow, technology, reporting — on a part-time, embedded basis, and are accountable for outcomes rather than recommendations. It fits firms that have outgrown ad-hoc management but can’t yet justify (or find) a full-time COO. Our Fractional COO engagement is built exactly this way.

What is a legal intake audit?

A legal intake audit is a structured review of what a firm does with the leads it already pays for — who answers, how fast, how callers are qualified and scored, how persistently the firm follows up, and where signing stalls. The output is a documented account of every lead from first ring to case opening. That is precisely what our Intake Audit delivers.

What is speed to lead?

Speed to lead is the time between a prospective client’s first contact — a call, form fill, or chat — and the firm’s first meaningful response. It is one of the intake metrics most directly tied to whether a qualified lead signs with your firm or the next one that answers, which is why intake platforms and intake audits both treat it as a headline number.

What does a law firm operations consultant do?

A law firm operations consultant diagnoses how a firm actually runs — intake, workflow, staffing, technology, and reporting — measures each against the firm’s business goals, and delivers a prioritized, executable plan. The useful distinction is between consultants who hand over a binder and those who stay to execute. Our consulting practice is built around the second model.

Working Together

How do we get started?

It starts with a conversation. Book a 30-minute discovery call — no pitch, no prep needed — and you’ll leave with clarity on your top issue and a concrete next step. No invoice, no pressure, no fluff.

What happens after I reach out?

Three steps: we review your inquiry and respond within one business day; we schedule a 30-minute call, with no prep on your end; and you leave with clarity on your top issue and a concrete next step.

Do you just advise, or do you actually implement?

We implement. Our fractional COO work embeds us inside the firm to lead the fixes ourselves, and even our diagnostic engagements are built to be executed, not shelved. We ran the machine — we didn’t just study it.
